"Upon entering the nursing home through a secure door you notice how clean and welcoming it is. The residents lounges are homely and cheerful. There is always a member of staff " keeping an eye "on everyone and refreshments are readily available.
The staff are friendly and show great compassion to the residents, making sure they call each one by their names. They always have the best interests of the residents and nothing is too much trouble.
The bed rooms are spotless but cosy and residents can have a few personal items on display.
Having relatives in the home over the past 10 years I cannot find fault. The personal touch by the management and staff is plain to see. Compared to a nursing home I visited in the UK, Harbour Lights is a 5***** establishment."
"My Grandmother came to harbour lights and was immediately welcomed by the management team and staff. The dayroom where she sits is beautiful with great views over the bay of killybegs. The rooms are all well equipped and decorated in a cosy atmosphere.
The staff are always on hand to help with any needs of the residents, they are so friendly and chatty with the residents. The menu and choice of food is very good and the daily snacks and drinks are served throughout the day.
The staff are very welcoming to all visitors even in these times during covid19, arrangements have been made to accomodate visiting. The choice of activities seems to please everyone.
Overall this is a very well run home and the residents all seem very happy living in Harbour Lights."
